Spencer and Heidi recently upgraded their $9 Cabo rings for more traditional, platinum rings.

And this from the DailyNews, "The twosome failed to obtain a marriage license before reciting their vows at the One & Only Palmilla Resort near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and still haven't taken care of the legalise in the States. As a result, Mexico - and the US- don't recognize the union.
"Like other elopements that happen outside the country, we'll take care of the legal details when we get home," he explained after the ceremony.
The couple will have to go to court to make their original ceremony legal - or simply remarry.
