Heidi's stepbrother served a tour of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan before coming back to America and dying in a tragic rooftop accident. And now she wants to visit the Middle East and honor his memory by performing for the US troops. Do you really think the troops want to hear a song about FASHION?!?!
Heidi told the press, “My brother was an airborne ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq. It’s very important to me and important to Spencer to support the troops and go over there.” Speidi says they have an inside connection to Presidential hopeful John McCain through their newfound friend, his daughter Meghan. “She’s very sweet,” Pratt told press. “I think Meghan McCain is helping organize Heidi and our Iraq trip. Her dad definitely has some pull with the military. I think she’s going to put that together for us.” But how will they get to Iraq? Both Lauren and Audrina have been sporting the "name rings" lately. It looks like they are trying to make the name rings be like the "Carrie" necklace...we'll see if that really happens. Apparently Lauren had her ring commissioned for herself and her best friends last Christmas from XIV Karats in Beverly Hills.

Speidi is for sure working their 15 minutes of fame for all it is worth! Yesterday they had lunch together and then attended a charity event. While at lunch Heidi wore a summery white/grey dress overtop a pair of leggings with gladiator sandals. Spencer sported his FAUX beard, workboots and played Nintendo DS.
At the charity event Heidi looked pretty, especially the LINES on her legs from her TOO tight Leggings she wore to lunch!!! Please check out the lines below. Oh, and true to Spencer form, he told press that he was “praying for Lauren Conrad since her line was dropped by Kitson!” Man, he is a JERK!
An insider tells PerezHilton.com exclusively that Lauren Conrad's Fashion PR job at Peoples Revolution is totally a front. According to Perez, Lauren is making an appearance at the PR office for a Hills shoot this week. The best part is, the People's Republic employees were told by Lauren to bring 3 outfits because they need to make it look like Conrad was there 3 different days...now that is HILLarious!
Lauren Conrad's unprofessional behavior left many people stunned and saddened when The Hills star had a diva fit and walked out on a charity event she was hosting in New York City on Tuesday. Lauren walked the press line outside the event and then promptly left. She was supposed to be the finale of the charity fashion show and model with one of the Society's rescue dogs at the Animal Fair magazine's 9th annual 'Paws for Style' benefit.
Looks like Heidi is working it for the McCain family. Heidi had a very public lunch yesterday at The Ivy in Los Angeles with Meghan McCain, the daughter of Republican presidential hopeful John McCain. Earlier this year, Heidi told press, “I’m voting for John McCain. I’m a Republican and McCain has a lot of experience.” Returning the favor, McCain has said that he never misses an episode of The Hills. Not sure that Heidi is quite the "famous actor" that you want to have associated with your campaign...

Sources at MTV are reporting that they are going to have a spin-off of The Hills and it will star Whitney instead of Speidi! The crew will follow Whitney from coast-to-coast as she works for the fashion PR firm. We'll see if this really happens...
LC and Lo were out and about Friday in LA. Early in the day they were seen heading to Smashbox Studios and then that evening they attended the Intermix Celebrates VH1 Rock Honors. I must say they both look fabulous! Oh, and Audrina was there too, just didn't show up with her roomies.

Thedirty.com found a contract between Audrina and a nightclub in San Diego that says she will be paid $5,000 an hour and "a secure VIP area with complimentary beer, mixed drinks and bottle service (two bottles) and at least one security guard at all times."
